Buy SONYc here

  1. Connect a wallet with USDC on Base - Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, Phantom, Rabby or any other.
  2. Open your profile's Portfolio tab, switch to Buy and type a dollar amount next to SONYc. Add other stocks if you like.
  3. Confirm once. The stocks go through Aerodrome in one transaction and land in your wallet; 1% of the stock is our fee.

Selling works the same way from Sell side, for USDC. Buys start at $1 and sales at $0.05. SONYc has no Chainlink feed, so a trade is held to its pool's own price instead: one that pays more than 1% over it, or gets more than 1% under it, waits for you to confirm the figure, and past 10% it is refused.

Questions

Is SONYc the same as Sony stock?

SONYc is a token on Base that tracks one Sony share. Coinbase issues it and holds a matching share with a regulated custodian, so it is backed one to one. You hold the token in your own wallet; the share stays in custody.

Do I get Sony dividends or voting rights with SONYc?

No voting rights: those stay with the custodian. A cash dividend is added through the token's multiplier, so after one a token stands for a little more than one share, rather than paying you.

Can I buy SONYc in US?

No. Coinbase tokenized stocks are not offered to US persons, and they are not available everywhere else either. Check your own rules before buying or opening a box.

What happens to SONYc when the stock market is closed?

Its pool trades around the clock, but with the market shut nothing moves its price except the trades in it, so it can drift from where the stock opens next. SONYc has no Chainlink feed to check it against.
